This is the ultimate “Diner” meal and a favourite of both Moe and I. I know I have posted this meal before, but this blog is
a food diary and some favourite meals will show up on a regular or semi-regular basis. I don’t always make this dinner from leftovers either. I roasted a whole chicken specifically to make hot chicken sandwiches. And it is always served with the same sides. Homemade fries and canned peas. I know, I know canned peas,what is she thinking. LOL! But hey, it is a tradition. A hot chicken/turkey sandwich just wouldn’t be the same without canned peas.
An added benefit is I have leftover gravy which is now in the freezer. A little three pound chicken netted 4 cups of rich gravy.

There is nothing better than a hot chicken, turkey or roast beef sandwich. We always had peas with ours, also! Love those meals!
