Spaghetti with Clams

Are you familiar with the “Seven Year Rule”? If you don’t like a particular food, you should try it every seven years.  You might find that your taste buds have changed. That is how it was for me and Clams. Moe has always loved clams.  I didn’t like them at all.  Until 1997. We were…

Roast Chicken……Again

If you are a follower you know that a roast chicken dinner is at the top of my favourite list. Probably my most often repeated meal. It is one of those easy dinners that I can prepare even on a work night. A small chicken can be roasted in less than an hour if roasted…

Pimientos de Padrón

I now have a source for these wonderful little Pimientos de Padrón (Peppers).  The “FAT CHILI FARM” in Cobble Hill sells a variety of peppers including these delicious little Padron peppers. A quick and simple Tapas.  Just saute quickly in olive oil, sprinkle with sea salt and serve immediately. ENJOY!

Peppercorn Steak

I love, love, love pepper.   (I carry a pepper grinder in my purse) So this way of preparing steak is one of my favourites. Lots of coarsely cracked or ground black pepper and a sauce  made with green peppercorns. It is actually a very easy dinner to put together.   It took longer to cook…

Bread and Pasta

I haven’t baked bread all summer.   So Monday morning I mixed up a Biga.  Monday night before bed, I kneaded up a double batch of bread dough.   It was late so the dough went  directly into  the fridge.  Tuesday morning, I knocked it down and then left it for about  4 hours so that…

Beef Three Ways…………
