We had our Thanksgiving with our friends
as well as neighbours, Barb and Clif.
Clif cooked dinner all I had to make was
dessert.
Decided to make something that I hadn’t
baked in a while and a dessert
that I had never made for them.
Boston Cream Pie
I always forget how good this is.
I love how the custard melds with the cake.
This custard was a very rich yellow
thanks to fresh eggs from a friends farm.
We also had dinner with Barb and Clif
last week to celebrate Clif’s birthday.
Per his request, I made Clif his favourite
brownies.
Marbled Cream Cheese Brownies.
Again the fresh eggs with their very yellow
yolks really coloured the cream cheese filling.
