Didn’t start the process until after 2:00 PM.
About the time the bread was ready to shape, it was also dinner time and I hadn’t planned anything.
(We had lunch out and I didn’t think either of us would be very hungry – I was wrong.)
So, I pulled a couple of boneless chicken breasts out of the freezer and partially defrosted them in the microwave.
Using a little of the bread dough, I made two pitas.
Shaped into rounds and left to rest for 30 minutes.
Baked on a hot stone.
They puffed right up and only took a few minutes to bake.
No need to make a special Pita dough, especially if you only want a couple.
Mixed up a little sauce with mayonnaise seasoned with garlic,Dijon Mustard, salt, pepper and a little fresh lemon juice.
Chicken breasts were pounded flat, rubbed with garlic, salt and pepper and grilled.
Topped with lettuce, tomato and red onion.
A quick and easy dinner.
A quick and easy dinner.
Pity I am not there to have a pita:)Wow ..You are the Bread Master~I always say that..Jacques says I repeat myself..Guess he is right;)
