Moe’s Breakfasts

Breakfast has always been one of
Moe’s favourite meals.
I’m not a big fan of traditional breakfast foods
but I love dinner for breakfast.
And since we are usually up early, as in before
4:00 AM every morning I will often cook
for breakfast, what had been intended for
dinner the night before.
In no particular order, here are some of
Moe’s breakfasts since the beginning of 2017.

A breakfast version of Aloo gobi.
Potato and Cauliflower fried rice topped with an egg.

Oven baked omelette with cream cheese, mushrooms and spinach.
Breakfast Salad with fried potatoes, bacon, onions, tomatoes,
avocado and fried baguette slices for croutons.

Topped with a poached egg.

Potato Omelette

With toasted baguette.

Crepes filled with lemon curd.

Used the remainder of the lemon curd
in a Dutch Baby Pancake.

Grilled Pork Chop with potatoes baked  in chicken broth
with onions, and fresh thyme.

 Cheese and ham omelette.

New York Strip Roast for breakfast.
With homemade Horseradish.

Poached Eggs on toasted baguette.

Poached Eggs and smoked salmon

Served on potato Latkes with a dill cream sauce.

Another Pork chop grilled for breakfast served
with Potato Gratin.

 Raspberry Scones

Scones with my friend Leola’s homemade blackberry jam.

Moe loves leftover roast beef and gravy with scrambled eggs.

Scrambled eggs with fried mushrooms.

A skillet breakfast of fried eggs and ham.

Now this is my idea of breakfast.
Fried ham topped with tomatoes.

  1. When I used to blog I often had dinner for breakfast so that I could cook and photograph dish and then go off on some adventure. All of the above would be welcome for breakfast.

Yes, Moe is lucky. I know my husband would love pork chops for breakfast (if only I would get up at the same time as he does). Wonderful assortment of breakfast ideas. I was especially impressed by the aloo gobi fried rice and the smoked salmon served on latkes with dill sauce.
