This is another one of those quick to make “after work” dinners.
I picked up some freshly ground beef on my way home from work, a couple of kaiser buns and a jug of vegetable oil. First thing I did was slice the potatoes and left them to soak in ice water, while I seasoned the beef, and heated the grill and the oil.
I use canola oil and a vintage Griswold Cast Iron Dutch Oven to cook my “chips”. The oil is heated to 375°F and the potatoes are sliced really thin so they don’t take long to cook.
This is my burger – topped with lettuce, tomato and thinly sliced onion.
Moe had the same toppings but he also had mustard.
Great looking meal especially for just a throw together. I love homemade chips and like to top with bleu cheese crumbles.
Happy Monday, Ann.It's not quite 11 AM here and you have me craving a burger! It looks delicious, and those potato chip look irresistible, too!Pssst. When you have a chance, please stop by my blog.
I'm craving a burger now, too. That looks perfectly done. And those chips – I could probably down the whole batch!
Gorgeous…I had a burger for lunch today when I was out with friends…it did not look half a good as yours!
Burger season and barbequing is coming up fast!!!
Nothing better than a good grilled burger! My husband's favorites, kettle chips… we go to a sub shop that does their own and they are sooo good! I need to treat ourselves to homemade chips very soon!
