It was over 90°F here yesterday. And no air conditioning either. I’m not complaining. I love hot summer days. But, it was too hot to turn the oven on inside the house. I have a small Waring Convection Oven that I don’t use often, but, it came in handy yesterday. I moved it outside and roasted a chicken. Used my favourite skillet, a vintage Griswold cast iron pan. Perfect size for a small chicken. Dinner was toasted club house sandwiches made using the breast meat and served with homemade fries.

Roasted chicken, always delicious and welcomed at the dinner table.I'm going to have to look into a convection oven.
Ingenious use of movable cookery!! I would not do well in 90 F.+ with no a/c – and certainly wouldn't have thought to roast a chicken. I would have picked up an already-cooked chicken and used that for my sandwiches! I'm definitely impressed!
