This is the only BBQ sauce that I love.

The sauce is a copy cat version of the sauce served at the Tunnel Bar-B-Q in Windsor Ontario.
The restaurant was in business for 73 years from 1941 until 2014.
Moe is from Windsor and he introduced it too me back in the early 70’s when we got together.
Until about 2000, I would just order it from the restaurant.
But a friend from Windsor shared the copy cat recipe that had been printed in the Windsor Star. I’ve been making it ever since.
I made two double batches this morning.
Enough to fill a few larger jars,

and enough to fill those cute little mini canning jam jars.
Will be sharing with friends that also love this sauce.
The recipe is very simple and doesn’t require any cooking.
This is the only thing I make that requires ketchup.
The original recipe called for also adding 1/4 cup of sugar, which I exclude.
I love about this sauce is that it isn’t overly sweet.
The ketchup is sweet enough without adding more sugar.
TBQ Sauce
1/2 cup Ketchup
1/2 cup prepared mustard
1/2 cup vinegar white
1-1/2 teaspoons salt
1-1/2 teaspoons garlic powder
1 teaspoon black pepper
1 teaspoon cayenne pepper
1-1/2 teaspoons chili powder
1/4 cup white sugar. (Optional)
Place all ingredients in a blender and mix. Store in the fridge.
Will last for months.
Thanks for sharing, Ann! I’ll definitely give this a try.
