Another year comes to an end. Can’t believe how fast this year as gone.
Going to try and be better about posting regularly to my blog in 2024.

We finished 2023 with lobster,
which has been a traditional New Years Even dinner for almost 50 years,
with very little variation.

This year I went with lobster tails.

Found a recipe for seared lobster tails in garlic and lemon butter.

Served with simple sides of spinach and rice.
Would definitely make them again this way.
Last bake of 2023.

Eight small rounds, some with and some without poppy seeds. Started with a Pate Fermentee.

This favourite chicken dish was suppose to be dinner.

but instead I made it in the morning before leaving for work and Moe had it for breakfast and I took the same for lunch.
Italian roast chicken with a side of Bucatini Aglio E Olio.
Moe love beans, and I don’t make them often, but Matt does.
He made a pot one morning and then baked in a casserole, seasoned garlic, rosemary and parmesan.

Moe had a bowl for breakfast with toast.

Moe mentioned deep fried wontons yesterday, so while we were out I picked up the wonton wrappers and made wontons.
I used my regular wonton recipe but instead of using them in soup, I deep fried them and made a dipping sauce out of apricot jam, rice vinegar, garlic, grated ginger and Thai sweet chili sauce.
